Turns out one of their testers (They had 7) had just had his licence revoked due to a resale vehicle being snagged for a few minors 6 WEEKS after he mot'd it, I was gobsmacked!!!! He's looking at a 2 - 5 year ban!!!! And I'm talking cracked or split BJ boots and gaitors, NOTHING on the major scale............poor bugger, hence the lads now have to up their game, so if you get stung on your MOT for niff naff, it's not the boys fault, they are being pushed into a corner!!!

Sounds like VOSA are on a mission again..could understand if it was serious issues but something that would have probally only flagged up an advisory is pretty harsh

6 weeks is a long time for a car in this weather, even longer with the current state of the roads... I've had MOT passes clear of advisories and then had a handbrake cable snap a week later (thankfully I always leave cars in gear) had another one where a front wheel bearing started grumbling about two weeks after. No play even when grumbling.
MOT certificate even states that it's only proof that it was up to spec on the day tested.
That's really harsh. Poor sod.

Garage time limited my Mrs Mabo breaking some bones and my having to increase my domestic duties. My having to help her into her underwear is pretty much the opposite of what we both had in mind all those years ago.
Managed to steel an hour to weld the patch onto the sill. Just needs dressing with the grinder and some sealer / paint.
