What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Garage time limited my Mrs Mabo breaking some bones and my having to increase my domestic duties. My having to help her into her underwear is pretty much the opposite of what we both had in mind all those years ago.
Managed to steel an hour to weld the patch onto the sill. Just needs dressing with the grinder and some sealer / paint.

Sorry to hear of your other half's misfortune; I hope everything mends properly and 'normal' service can be resumed soon enough. ;)

Absolutely brilliant idea Norman. Now that is something i could use as well as i have the very same setup in mine. :)
I haven't road-tested it yet (was night when I fitted it) and the mirror isn't tight on the bracket so I'm expecting some vibration, but I'm sure I'll be able to fix that without reprinting, the bracket is tight to the stud and the camera is tight too.
But I've yet to see what the camera aim is like, if that's too high I will have to adjust the angle and reprint, and if I do that I'll try and tweak the mirror tightness also.

There is vibration when driving, but it's bearable; the camera aim is fine, though it could be lower - less sky improves exposure. But it could do with some tweak to the fit with the stud and with the mirror so a reprint is likely.-

Discovered that the primitive traction control is waaaaay over-sensitive and an absolute liability when maneuvering slowly. Like walking speed.

I let her pull herself off the driveway with barely a breath of throttle. I'm on compacted snow/ice and facing up a shallow hill, so of course some slippage is to be expected, right? TC kicked in and switched off the rear bank. So, abruptly, I've got a car pulling itself along at near-idle and only firing on every other cylinder. Adding more throttle will just spin the brand-new tyres so... Stall.

"Okay Tiger, I understand you don't know it's snowing, so I'm going to ask you to trust me."

*Mashes traction control button*

"Now, I'm going to give you some input that you're not going to be happy about. When you come across that input, I want you to simply ignore it, and continue with what you have been asked to do. I won't hurt you, and I won't let any harm come to me. Okay? Okay."

And off we went, no problem at all. :)

Blank day today so rather than just sleep ;), i went and pulled the drivers door card off to find out why my puddle light has stopped working and to replace the UV backlight led for the inner door handle. LED was simply blown so a replacement was soon soldered in place. SORTED!
As for the puddle light! not sorted, the SMLED is ok and wire feed to it through the door. I need to track the wiring back now for the break in the circuit. My fingers froze today so i'll be back inside the car tomorrow with the heater on. :)
