Next step is to use the perfect clarity kit to restore the c2 lights, then get the angle grinder out and fit them

I’d like to be there when you do it Dan. See how it’s done[emoji106]

Your more than welcome Mick (y)

Its going to be more madness with an angle grinder and hammer than skill though ;)

Lmfao...... no 24 oz Monster. Lasts for a good portion of the day. And they're resealable which is awesome considering all the dust and such that's in the air at work. Although almost 4 bucks a can kinda stinks.

Haha makes more sense, the only size we get of monster here is 500ml (16oz) and its not resealable so you have to drink it in one go like a man then bounce off the walls for hours  you can pick them up for £1 each

Couple of small jobs yesterday. Replacement wipers fitted, tyres topped up (porous alloys) and more importantly got a replacement head unit in. Not the best of work as the stereo we put in is lacking the plastic surround so it doesn't look great, but thankfully I have another freebie I can swap over. Also it doesn't sit at the correct angle, and the plastic triangular-wedge-type-thing can't be adjusted further to push it higher.

Still, it's an improvement.

Put a small amount of the inside back together. Started fiddling with the C2 lights trying to figure out what needs cut on the radiator support. I discovered that the how to on cougardb is incorrect. It's not the flange sticking down that's 3 layers thick causing interference. Its a piece a little further forward.

you can see where its hitting at the top of the bulb opening. Hitting right here.

That's one of the reasons I posted it. I knew I wasnt the only one swapping. It looks to me like the opening for changing bulbs is bigger. And the cover for the hole sticks out further. Without the cover on they almost fit like the 99 lights. I think Im going to cut out the little bit to get them to fit without the cover on and then modify the cover instead of cutting big chunks out of the car.

Snowing and raining here most of the day so spent some time inside with a dremel

Had to butcher loads of the HVAC panel to get it to fit but its all in nice and snug now, just need to locate a plastic surround for it and its ready for install

Discovered I have at least 1 blown strut. Seriously sucks because having Koni's on the car I can't just go down to the parts store and grab one. They dont make them anymore. So after the move back it looks like I'm gonna be looking into getting mine rebuilt.
Got most of Janes bits loaded back into her. Not installed. Just kind of chillin in the boot. Still got a little more to do before she's move ready which I'm doing this evening. I have to get the garage straightened up for a home inspection first. Geez she's a dirty girl.
On a kinda good note. Jane's not going anywhere. The wife has agreed to putting a garage in at the other house after the move. So, she'll have a room beside Luci and Sophia. I'm thinking the garage is gonna be "The Cat House."

Nice one Dan.
