What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

True, true. Like I said, I imagine that Dabooka knows that this is a warning shot across his bow.

But me? I was too optimistic and a year later I relied on Tony's generosity, (and desire to practice, and maybe his sheer curiosity) to keep Tiger on the road.

Off-topic: Anyone else think it's hilarious that I persist in keeping this scrapper car alive and refusing to let her go?

Bang on the button there bud. I've been lucky she was garaged most her life, not had that much a hard life, and always planned to get the rear / underside redone next spring anyway. Let's hope it's not too bad I guess. Either way, it will get resolved :)

Finished off cutting and drilling out the bolts from the drivers seat so I can remove it and fit the better condition one in. Had a look under the seat and the loom in the car has a grey 4 pin connector, new seat has a 6 pin connector. Spent a while trawling through through all the previous posts regarding this issue now totally confused, time for a beer.

I had this with mine. I can't recall off the top of my head what we did, but I do know the requiste wires were all there and basically the six pin (on the chair?) looped into a two and four behind, possibly a yellow connector. I cut out the car end of the loom to fashion a bodge until such time I rewire the plugs.

I'll have a look on my breaker and see what the car end plug is, as it might be of some use?

Got rid of a bunch of spider webs that I didnt notice in it when I climbed in looking for something I thought was in the boot. Unfortunately my head found them. All gone now though!!!

It's the green and the grey plugs you are interested in; the yellow plug is for the airbag stuff.

Cougar Gill fitted today, I actually prefer it to the C1 grill.

Yes thanks I have bookmarked that page, I plan to get both seats side by side at the weekend and sort it out.

I've actually got a degree in electronic engineering, I won't let a car seat beat me

Cheers.

Jon, I've got a box full of seat wiring bits in the shed from when I changed my seats, when you're here tomorrow you're welcome to have a rummage and see if there's anything you might find useful (y)

What have you found?

What I thought would fit was too short.

So I did this instead, I used three long machine thread 6mm screws and nuts, (Wilco's) cut the screws down to 90mm, so they are a little longer than the original bolts, machined the heads of the crews down to 10mm and with threaded head sticking out 40mm from the manifold, its the perfect height, that's it no other parts needed.
I will replace the nuts, with flange nuts later.
