Many thanks Rob, I think this will help bring forward my 'Project BlueFlame' when time permits.

May I just ask if all the hangers attached to the exhaust side, were in place with the system, or did you or your fitters have to add any ? ( I of course, anticipate having to add some to the vehicle side. ) The reason for asking is that you have a few more than I can see on mine, they are in different places and yours seem to be more specific to your vehicle. The resulting fitment you have looks very stable too. TIA - Noel

1) Good question, Noel. I don't think I've ever seen a Blue Flame installation that used the hanger on the rear subframe before.

2) I refuse to believe that car has ever been driven in the rain. It looks like it just came off the ship. Very impressive.

So to confirm. I purchased this exhaust of a someone who was breaking a car . Just happen to be in the right place at the right time , and all the hangers was used so I just put it back on mine as per it was. Had to buy the double hanger rubbers and was a bastard to fit on my drive on my own but I got it done. And nice subtle throb. I have replaced my rear subframe and all the bushed etc and was a Mondeo subframe but luckily the hanger is in the same place [emoji108]

If you was to look closer it has sings of surface rust but nothing rotten I'm getting round to cleaning the underneath all up. BH it you are right I have seen many cougars underneath and this one of mine is a very good example. Shame I might have to sell it. .... Still not decided.[emoji848]

Hi Tallguy, My bluflame was sourced in the same way, via this forum.
My hangers are all as per yours inc the rear subby one but the LHS Can, when looking from the rear ( the extra outlet ) How is that fixed? I added a bolt through the vehicle transport clamp down lug and then rubber onto the blu flame fixing. It looks like you have bent the same bracket aside to stop it knocking ? I use walking stick foot rubbers pushed onto the bluflame fixing to stop it knocking.
I also used U clamps on the joints between the end and and Y split but you have none.

Speaking of pads, after my upgrade kit to Mondeo 3 calipers and pads I've had the pad wear light illuminated. Today i linked out the plug and that's the warning light no longer illuminated, job done.
Alas I also confirmed that i now have a hole in the drive shaft gaitor ( where I touched it with the angle grinder ) grease being thrown everywhere. That'll be a new gator required.

I picked mine up and drove it about 500yds back home.

Ready for a run out tomorrow and see how she's doing, get some good stuff in the tank and maybe just go for a blast for half an hour or so.

There's no time limit on performing an oil change. Be it 30 minutes or an hour, I'm so very glad you took this on and I look forward to seeing you both at 'Fest!

Al it takes me about that long at the best of times.

And no, I'm not exaggerating I'm just slow and so, so scared of screwing something up! :geek:

Am I the only one who jacks up the corner of the car to force everything out? Tiger and Wildcat get their NSF propped up so the sump drops as much as it can out of there.

And I still haven't ever got the full capacity back in. :cautious:

I have to jack it up to fit under her to undo the drain plug

I can get under a zetec without lifting it though, must be all that extra space where an engine should be :bomb:

Well done Pid, doesn't matter how long it took you and you sound pleased that you achieved it. Some of my projects can take months
but no matter how long as the job is done.

I bought the Silverline one and the pipe was too wide to get in the sump.

Was great for draining my disabled washing machine, but was useless for Tiger/Wildcat, Jinxy and Kate, even with a 6mm reducing pipe. I'm actually not sure what those pumps are useful for.

All that said, what you got there?
