Hello Tats and welcome to the forum.
There is loads of info on both versions on the forum; in standard form the V6 has more kit and more oomph but obviously carries a premium on the insurance and MPG front.
Do your homework and I'm sure you'll end up with the right buy.

as said it depends on your circumstances, age etc, if your young and little or no NCB or worried about fuel consumption, then probably a Zetec, but there's a lot to said for going for the V6 as well
but the important thing is your buying a

both nice cars, neither particularly quick - v6 about 8 and the zetec around 10 seconds to 60...

.60-100 v6 is a fair bit quicker but you can tune a zetec to get more than a V6 if you're into that sort of thing...
