Well, some of you know i finally got the wheels i've been after for a few years, the Azev type M classic, and that i fitted them to my car and was a bit let down with the look. I still very much like them and keep looking back at the photos of the car with them fitted. They cost a fair bundle to get the wrong tyres swapped over for the right ones, but i think i've had the blingy wolfies so long that i can't let go. I put the azevs up for sale but they just aren't moving and now i'm at the point where something just has to go. I've come to the conclusion that i need to advertise both sets and whichever set sells, then i am obviously left with the other set, whichever it may be.o_O
What dya reckon?

To be honest Al, i like the Azev wheels - i think a chunky wheel suits the car much better unless you have multi spokes if you know what i mean

I like the original cougar alloys

Azevs would be ideal in 18s....Never really liked those Wolfies.....out of the two you have......voted Azev

I wonder if the Azev ones look smaller as they seem to sit further into the arches than the wolfies do - or is it an optical illusion? I like the style of the Azev ones better. Could you try bigger spacers maybe?

The Azevs are 50mm offset. Without spacers they would be touching the struts or would be far too close for comfort. I fitted 5mm spacers and that seems to centralise them ok making the offset 45mm which is on the outer limit of the cougars ET with 7.5j rims. The large centre and broad spokes give the illusion of a smaller wheel.

Have voted for the Azev's -having seen both side by side, these look cleaner. The Wolfies are a bit too blingy (y)

I've voted for the Wolfies.

I know the Azevs were a long held ambition, but in the metal they just don't look like that library picture you kept referencing (ie the Frosty Roushed Cougar with the Azevs) and I reckon that comes down to size. The ones in the picture filled the arches much better than your set do, so my guess is they must have been 18s or even 19s.

Of the two sets you have, the Wolfies look better and - this is purely my opinion - they are massively integral to the overall look of your car. With different wheels, it just doesn't look like Al Pid's car.

Just to add a 3rd option, there a nice set of Azev's in 19s on fleabay. I'm seriously tempted myself instead of some Superleggeras.

You know my thoughts Alan.

I prefer the Azevs - though i take on board the perspective that perhaps there would be no decision to make if they had been 18's.

Personally, I think however, you will regret selling your wolfies.

If your circumstances dictate one set has to go then needs must, and do what's right for you.

If you could keep hold of both - simply bolt off one set once the tyres have gone and bolt the others back on :)

All of the above said, I voted Azevs from my perspective - what I would do.

Perhaps I should have voted for Wolfies - as for you, I think that's the right thing to do.

I'm not sure those 19's would fit? They're 8.5J and ET 40. I'm sure that would make them damn close to the arch?
