First of all a massive thanks to Alex (F2EEMAN) for doing these photo shop pics for me! (y)

Ok so just want some opinions on alloys on my car.
Currently one needs welding and they could all do with a refurb.
Car as is before cracked alloy.

So i have a few options which i am uncertain with which is best.
1. Get the alloy fixed soonish and refurbed at the same time. Which also leads me to colour change as it would cost no extra to change

In gunmetal

Or black

2. Get the broken alloy fixed for now and save for a new set of alloys
These are the ones i have my eye on 19" deep dish lenso's

So any opinions are welcomed!

Gunmetal is the darkest I'd ever go on a silver car. Black just doesn't suit silver imho. But 19" lenso would be nice can't see the ones in your link tho.

Changed link for a pic now mate.
Must admit though i did change my mind on black once photoshop was done (y)

Yeah the lenso is a nice wheel

Black rims work on white cars and loads of others just doesnt work on silver for some reason.

19"s are a good look on the cougar too.

The Lenso wheels are some nice quality. Very impressed with the D1R's I put on mine thanks to Rochford Tyres (alloywheels.com). Dunno about 19s though. Doesn't leave much room for rubber.

Nice wheel choise there mate and rochford tyres is 5 mins away from me lol

I'd stick with silver wheels on a silver car if it were mine. I can think of about 1 car that looks good with gloss black wheels and that's the XKR Black Pack in white paint. It makes almost every other car just look filthy and/or cheap IMO. Same goes for gun metal too - just looks like you've got a load of brake dust caked onto your wheels regardless of how shiny the rest of the car is.

The Cougar's overall wheel/tyre diameter is just too small for dark wheels. They need to be light shades to highlight them. On a Cougar at first glance it looks as though you run steel wheels and someone's nicked your wheel trims!

No worries my friend! Personally I think silver looks more sleek, but I'd go for the more aggressive looking gunmetal. So depends on how you want it. The black rims dont go unless you've got alot more black on the car to tie it all together :)

Thanks for all your comments (y)
Tbh once done i did think that silver looked bes but just wanted to be sure!
So will prob go with option 2 and get wheel fixed as is and then get the 19" lensos!! :)
So these whels will possibly be up for sale some time in the near future

Silver on a frosty for me. As already menioned, any darker colour just looks like they need a clean.
The Lenso's look good too but maybe consider them in 18".
In 19" you'd be looking at a 35 profile tyre and one nasty pothole could put you back to sqaure one with a buckled wheel.

I like the Lenso's, but if you opt to repair and refurb your existing wheels the silver looks far better than either of the other two. There's a reason why the vast majority of alloy wheels are silver, they simply look better, regardless of the colour of the car they're bolted to. If anything, as you'd be having them refurbed anyway, I'd be tempted to go for what I believe is known as 'Hi-power' silver, which is basically a highly metallic silver and catches the light really well.
