I've got a set of 17s kicking about in my garage doing nowt, I'm in Derby fairly often too. Perhaps we could sort something out?
Not sure what Rich has waiting for you, but my opinion is that the Cougar body suits a wheel with at least a slight dish and a cheeky offset.
It makes the look of the car a bit more aggressive and purposeful.
What's great is that you can do this without upsetting the geometry or stressing the hubs.
I'll try and source a pic from somewhere (away on hols at the minute, so can't take a photo) but they're Outlaw Magnums, a multispoke wheel with a dished lip. They have 225/45/17 Nankang NS2 tyres that are just the right side of legal but I think you'd probably want to bin them. The wheels are structurally sound but need a refurb.
