.....whiling away time on the forum?
Well, my PC and corner desk and all the stuff that was surrounding me was starting to take over the room, so after redecorating, i started thinking of getting something a bit more compact. Ideally i wanted a desk which i could fit into the alcove and squarely. I contemplated building another one, but from past experience, i know i would have overdone it and ended up back in square one, as i would try to cater for every eventuality, so i spent a few days searching thebay and eventually spotted this gloss black glass topped desk which measures 108cm wide. The alcove is 109cm wide (y). Everything i need is here at hand ie: printer, speakers, yep, that's it.
The corner desk and shelving has all emigrated upstairs and is now serving as the office update for my vinyl cutting room, complete with printer, photo scanner and plotter along with all the ancillary stuff that goes with all of that.
I'm still trying to decide what to fill the empty shelf with :D.
....so, where do you sit?

I lounge on a reclining leather sofa, browsing the forum on my either my phone or the iPad. Usually whilst sipping a whiskey.

That looks very swish and a lot smaller than the previous arrangement!

To answer the question, on the sofa or at my desk upstairs when supposed to be studying!

Now the kids have all gone & left, i use the small bedroom as my office, pc one side, tv the other. By the way Al, is that shelf really really that much on the pee, or is it just the camera angle ?

You should try our stuff Rich, it's much nicer than the Irish stuff ;)
Tried a few Jamie, and the only two I've really got on with have been Glenmorangie and Glenlivet. On the whole, I've found that I prefer Irish or a decent Bourbon such as Gentleman Jack or Maker's Mark.

I always use either my laptop or phone - my desktop PC hasn't been powered on for a couple of years now

Nice Dalek by the way

most of the time I'm on here using the phone, sometimes the lappy.

but when I do use the office space, well here it is:

there's a proper desktop PC under the desk powering the wall mounted screens, the left one is a 20" high-res 1600 x 1200 the right one is a 22" full HD 1920 x 1080
speakers are connected to the desktop, and there's a small subwoofer under the desk too, sounds pretty good, for a PC.
PC uses a logitech trackball which is extremely comfortable

laptop is for work, and the phone in the middle is connected to it which gives me direct dialling from Outlook.
The left screen can be switched between either the PC or the lappy giving me dual screens either way depending on what I'm doing at the time

pretty geeky I think you'll agree!!

Most of the time i'm on my mobile at work (when i'm supposed to be working) otherwise its in my room on the set up below

Thanks, it's something i picked up in an auction box a while back. It didn't work, so i pulled it apart and found some wires snapped in it's head o_O. I put them all back and now it works perfect, i use it to wind Vonny up when she's busy cleaning etc. The dalek (remote controlled) wandering around the litchen floor screaming "Exterminate" and loads of other Dalek speak...
