Honestly, you know the Cougar is not a traditional Coupe/Sportscar. It's an out-and-out GT and really isn't supposed to go on a track.
That said:
1) Combe only has those two chicanes. I would expect that a V6 Coug would outrun an ST170 Focus there, if only the Focus would obey the blue flags it should be seeing and get out of the way.
2) I've easily outdriven people in hot hatches on this stretch of road:
And I'm not talking about being on the ragged edge.
3) The Mondy chassis is extraordinarily stiff. If you've ever lifted one, you'll know what I mean. "Why is that wheel lifting?"
Your recent adventures with your chassis rails prove that.
