sorry wife says no she is the one that got it for me i have been signed off work and doc says i need to stop getting so stressed and spend some time working on my car so folowing docs orders(first time i have been off sick in over a year feel guilty been on sick but been trying to get decent holidays at work since last september still not got any things just mounting up sorry rant over)
once this is done then im on to the sound system subs amps etc all ready got a good head unit
One good thing to know about it though, is that its made out of polyurethane. Basically you can take a hammer to it and it will flex but not break. They aren't indestructible but damn well close
That is a choice for you to make, the cougar looks fine with a standard bonnet and a bodykit, if you decide you do want a scoop then you have to decide on what look you are actually going for, the Visteon scoope in my opinion looks like a halfords cheap stick on, even blended in it just doesnt quite look right in my eyes but then if you cant afford to buy a moulded bonnet but you do want a scoop its one of the better fits on a standard bonnet
will wait and see what its like when fitted going to take my time when the bumpers are off mine ensuring its all rubbed down sealed up and i will underseal were the skirts go
My reference to Underseal was for the donor car so you could seal up small screw holes and cover any marks etc. If fitted correctly, the skirts are screwed into the sill from underneath sort of central.
well i have stripped the bumpers off my car and found some rust expecialy on the rear wings were the bolts got through for the back bumper paint peeling off it glad i stripped the bumper off now will need to get it rubbed down and sealed
spoke to trix in dunfermline and getting a cat 1 clifford alarm installed next wednesday with an additonal anti shock thing to tell people to p off
kit now on just need to fill up the gaps expecialy on the side skirts next to front wheel arch no matter what i done there was a small gap on looking at the 16v it looks as though it hd some sort of ruuber sealent filler will need to go to a bodyshop in the fiuture to get perfection but it looks good to me and thats what matters
Make sure contact areas are properly clean and allow the full cure time before moving the car etc. also if you mask neat lines, it'll look kinda stock but also if you want to, you can mask upto the lines again and touch in with silver.
