Hi all, just got myself a V6 cougar for the first time on an X reg and love it, drives real well but its got a rumble at the back which sounds like a wheel bearing is on its way out. My question is what is the best workshop manual to get as im sure that i will need to do a fair amount of maintenance. Thanks.

Hi Wayne, welcome to ukcougar.com, your in the right place for all things cougar related, as well as some crazy banter. You will also be able to find all the fixes you need in our subscriber sections. Have a browse around the open forums and get a feel for the place. Remember! ukcougar.com is the only workshop manual for the big cat. The rumbling at the back could well be the droplinks, a very common consumable part of the cougar and simple to renew.
There is no haynes manual for the cougar but the most usefull one (apart from this forum) is the mk2 mondeo as the engines and basics are the same.

Thanks for the info, but what are drop links, the cars rumble gets more intense the faster it goes and at about 70mph it starts to vibrate?
