You think it needs a clean?

Mine's in pretty much the same state as Mark's.......I don't care, once the weather improves she'll be getting treated to a good clean. After all, from my point of view, it's a car - to be driven. I'm not too precious about it - not like it's a DB9 or anything

It took me 15 minutes to get my garage doors open this morning, i think the garage has sunk  and the doors are scrubbing on the ground. I had to lift each door against the hinges and walk it open. When it was time to park up again this afternoon, it took me even longer to move them, they are so bad, i had to use a crow bar underneath to lever them shut. The car is outside tonight on the driveway, absolutely ditched, i don't think my cat has ever been so filthy, and now it's sparkling white frosty covered. -8c so far tonight :(

On the way back from Leeds the other day my windscreen got so dirty on the parts where the windscreen wipers don't go that I could only make out headlights through them. Luckily I had plenty of washer fluid :D

We're going home tomorrow after two weeks away for Christmas. I'm dreading seeing what state my poor kitty is in, having been sat stock still out on the driveway all that time! I'm just praying that I remembered to leave the handbrake off..

Edit: Nope, it was nicely rusted on. :(

Well this is how it looked this morning before I got to wash it, dirty spray all over the bonnet and headlights and down the sides, large greasy mark on the rear bumper and wheels that looked like they were covered in soot.

Not good :(
First off I started on the interior which wasn't that bad, a quick sweep of the mats and a wipe down of the leather with some wipes and it was looking good (y) (mind you I did forget the door shuts, but I sorted that out later) I need to clean thwe glass inside and out too but i'll do that another day (it was well cold out)

The bodywork needed a right good clean, I rinced off any surface muck with the hose (could do with some of that snow foam to pre-soak the grime) then got to work with the sponge and the zipwax/hot water although a few places needed a going over with some T-cut as there were stubourn tar marks and grease on the rear bumper (i suspect from when I had the car serviced, someone in a oily mechanic suit lent against it?)
After i'd dried the car with a chamois I applied a bit of 'Back to Black' to the black plastics around the mirrors etc.
Now the peice de la resistance!

All in all a job well done, i've just got too do the folks C-max next (tomorrow)

Gave mine a wash on new years day, it was killing me to see the filth on it. Mikey's gleaming car pictures a few days ago spurred me on to clean mine, might do the interior tomorrow,

It must be doubly hard for you Rich with having the Frosty and the Ebony cats (although didn't I read somwhere that you hadn't used the frosty over the winter?)

Tony, saw yours on facebook mate.

Funny thing is i must pick a different location in future to take the pictures, they just look the same as the ones I took last year

No, both cars are being used during winter, in summer Ria walks to work to get some fat off her arse and thighs so the frosty gets less use then. I don't generally clean it either, Ria usually does it

Top job on the clean up Matt(y), if you really want to have a go at something a bit more challenging, take a spin over to Leicester & I'll show you what a really filthy cat looks like lol...................I might even allow you to give it a clean, if you behave yourself!!!:)

In the winter when it's bad wheater my car never come out of the garage, so it will never be so dirty as the cougars on the picture.
But after a good clean you'll never seen the difference between my car and yours.
