300mm ST170 brake upgrade

You can use the standard lines, but may be easier to upgrade to braided now. They dont cost too much in the general scheme of things and will be easier to work with than the old rusty ones. Plus you dont need to bleed the system twice.

I'm looking at doing this upgrade. My wife borrowed my Cougar while I was cleaning child vomit out of her car.
When I got the keys back she informed me my brakes were shocking!!! She drives a PT Cruiser. I feel so ashamed.

1st question. Anyone got the parts for this upgrade kicking about? Might as well keep the money within the club ;)

2nd question. Do I need to change the brake lines or will the existing ones plumb straight in? (braided lines at a later date perhaps)

Thank you

Firstly, REALLY ALAN, REALLY?? (Hangover quote!) :)

Secondly, don't know about anyone having the bits spare, they come up on ebay at not bad money though from time to time. Unless you know a scrappy you can blag :)

All plumbs right in Al and it makes a huge huge difference I am only using cheapy disc and pad set and it is brilliant once these have worn out I will be getting much better discs and pads bear in mind the weight I carry I get no fade and almost all my stopping is off of motorway slip roads so 70/80 down to a stop.

Mine also needed no spacers some do some don't.
