4th time lucky?

Finally got around to taking a few pics. She's not perfect by any means but she'll be getting some love and attention (and hopefully some spare parts from you lovely bunch of people ;))

I had it in the garage for an alignment check, he had it up on the ramps and said its very rusty under there! When I asked how bad, he said very rusty but not rotten so use it as a dry day car. I darent look, the last guy slopped Hammarite over everything!

Its kept in a dry garage so when I can get it up to have a look, I'll see how bad it is, I guess a 21 year old Ford will rust though.

Welcome to the world of looking up at the underside of your car and saying "why didn't they just do a better bloody job in the 1st place" grabbing a brush / sander / grinder and setting to work! All I can say is I know nothing about the oily bits of cars, but even I have managed to get an on the edge cougar back to a very good state (although I do say so myself) and with the help of many wonderful people on here.

What am I saying, if you've had a few before you'll know how this drug works!

Welcome Kit and best of luck getting your pride and joy back to (near) perfect. And then bring it to a show or 2!

I’ve not actually seen that many C2s. When they were around the few I spotted seemed to have more corrosion than my C1.
Now we’re getting to “survivor cars” ie those that have had enough TLC to still be here.

Like all cars they were designed with a shelf life, that ended 10 years ago.
If you have the time and skill, or money, your car can survive.

She looks lovely, has that upper inlet manifold been powder coated ? Under bonnet sound pad still in place too, and in good nick. I think that’s rocking horse excrement rare.
