Cougar photos - finally cleaned

The important thing if lowering is to make sure your dampers are in very good condition. Tired old dampers just wont control the stiffer lowering springs and the car will be crashy and bouncy which is most uncomfortable. If it's in good order though then the ride should be a bit firmer but it never struck me as uncomfortable on the first car (also on 18" wheels). The second one's dampers were shot though and even on 16s it was horrible.

So, depending on milage it could be springs plus dampers you're looking for, but the good news is that there's no additional work involved to change the dampers whilst the springs are being changed. Call it preventative maintenance ;) I don't know what springs cost these days but I paid £80 new for Apex springs way back when. Apex are superior to Spax as well by the way. Eibachs are good if you can find them.
