Cougar Spotting

It would be a lot of money to throw down for a practical joke, but I would love to rock up to a UK Cougar meet in a 1973 XR-7 Cougar with the V8 Cobrajet powerplant. I'd be all, "Oh, hey guys? What's up?" just acting totally casual like there's nothing wrong and it's the most normal thing in the world.

Yeah, no. This practical joke would require:

$30,000 purchase price of the car
$2,000 to get it moved from where it is to a port, (hiring a driver to move it there)
$4000 to get it shipped to the UK
~£350 to get it MOTed and registered here
3 days for the bank transfer
5 days to get it to port
6 weeks to get it lined up for shipping and then shipped
4 weeks to get it certified and registered

I have neither that amount of money available for a joke, nor a time machine to make it by Saturday. So what you're going to get- assuming I can make it - is an 8th Gen with a dented roof and a set of Magnecors in the boot.

Benham - you're seeing more of them than me at the moment. What sort of condition are they in? Any signs of (past) affiliation to the club?

That last one could well have been Steve Morris by the way....

Not guilty, I'm always going the other way in the evenings.

speaking of which......spotted a Blurple V plate with OEM spoiler flash past me on Airport Way (Luton) on the way home today

got a feeling I'll see a few in a field tomorrow too :)

Uxbridge, this afternoon. It was done up like this for the European Scum Run, which it survived with nothing more than a puncture on the Autbahn.

Cool! That poor car has been on and off eBay for the last 2 years or so since it did it's charity run. I like this as much as the one that was done up like a plane with a propellor on the bonnet and everything. Think it might have been a Spitfire they tried to model on it.

Ebony C1 driven by an odd looking chap with long hair and a dickie bow - on 'Four in a Bed' on More4 this afternoon.
