Cougar Spotting

Spotted a Melina C1 V6, T996 BHJ on Fairmile Road in Christchurch this afternoon. Chap behind the wheel didn't seem to notice/care that my black one was behind him :(. I think I may have spotted him before and he was just as unbothered then...

...another silver, black wheels and the plate read D1Ikl or something similar, is it a club car? I was going to stop and say hi but I'd have looked a tit if it weren't a club owner lol

Personally, I don't worry too much about that. It's so rare that you see them, the chances of you bumping into a given individual again - in person - is vanishingly remote unless they live nearby and have the same habits as you. So if I saw someone returning to their Cougar, I'd definitely ask them if they've heard of us. Given the number of cars left versus the number of members here, I suspect not. But I really wouldn't care if they thought I was insane or weird. Which leads us neatly to...

I remember when travelling over to Spaceychick's engine swap, a lightly-modified Ebony tucked in behind me on the A14. I figured he was a club member going to the same place, so I raised my arm out of my window. He waved back.

He followed me to within a couple miles of her house. And then he turned off into a supermarket and flashed me as he went around the roundabout. He was nothing to do with the club, but he clearly knows what his car is and was being nice. He's existing out there on his own though.

Some people get it. Some don't. Some just don't care. But I don't think we should be timid in approaching them.

Well, unless they have a tattoo of a spider web on their shaven head and they're dragging their bleached-blonde missus back to the car by her thong. If that's the case, you're on your own.

Seen two today whilst out with ours. One at Sutton Asda - Silver which is often parked there. The other in a pub carpark in Calow, another silver, black wheels and the plate read D1Ikl or something similar, is it a club car? I was going to stop and say hi but I'd have looked a tit if it weren't a club owner lol

A couple of points: Firstly, that plate is freakily similar to Dick Lennox's (D1 CKL), mad that it should also be on a Cougar... unless it was D1 CKL, in which case alarm bells are 'ringing' - Dick's car is Amazon Green, I really hope some chancer hasn't ripped off his reg and is bombing around running up speeding fines and parking tickets in Dick's name.

Secondly, Calow as in just outside Chesterfield? In which case, hello brother! I was born in Chesterfield, grew up in Derby and have family in Bolsover.

Hi there, yes it was in Calow near Chesterfield, I thought the reg looked familiar... I'll keep an eye out for for the car and try and confirm what the reg was. It was a silver frost with black wheels.

At about 17:15 on Saturday, near King's Lynn college;

And my sharp-eyed daughter possibly glimpsed a Frosty driving into Tesco Extra, King's Lynn carpark at about 15:25 the same day, probably the same one.

Spotted heading up Cherry Orchard Way this evening toward Rochford.

V403 DLC. It has an OEM spoiler and I almost turned around to chase him for it

In the front garden of a house on a street I've driven several times, but not noticed before;
Frosty V6 V749MEV, MOT expired Nov 2015.

^^ That's got the factory/dealer option MS Designs rear spoiler and the rarely seen option Ford alloys on it.

V reg Frosty with a Bath plate took the right fork off the A46 on to the A433 towards Tetbury at 11.30ish this morning.
