One benefit of the cars being more affordable to buy is that that some owners are more willing to spend on them. When you look back 5 years, barring the side repeaters and wheels, most of the memberships' cars were virtually standard. There are a lot of people who've spent a fair amount on their cars with some nice results. Not always what I'd do, but nice in their own way.
Ria's car is a sight for sore eyes at the moment but hopefully we'll get that sorted soon. Mine needs a bit doing to it too.
 
Guess Ria's was a group effort, two previous owners did their thing to it and you got the finished result. But yeah, know what you mean, mine was standard for about two years
