CougarFest 2011 details/attendance list

As far as I'm concerned, as long as there is a congregation of at least 2 Cougars, in a field somewhere around mid July, there'll always be a 'Fest. You can count on my attendence for starters, and I'm sure I won't be alone for many years to come.

I can go for that (y) as long as I own the car I will turn up for fest (and even when I don't have the car) its a people thing :)

If I can attend Cougarfest coming all the way from Fife, what the hell is wrong with all the other members who live a lot closer than me? It does not cost all that much to attend so I do not feel it is a financial reason for non attendance. I don't even work as I am retired and living off my works pension. Since joining ukcougar.com I have met a really wonderful crowd of people and made a lot of good friends and I for one will definitely be attending future Cougarfests regardless of where they are. This is THE MAIN EVENT of the Cougar year and should, in my opinion, be attended by many more members. Come on guys and girls, show your true colours and get yourself organised for Cougarfest. I realise that some members have realistic excuses for not being able to make it, but, what about all the rest of you?

Having commented on this myself I can sympathise with this and many other posts of the same kind but when I read that somebody puts that it's "not their cup of tea" then I wonder if I really want to waste my breath on them if they did make it to a show. These people are willing to get all manner of help and advice from here but don't wish to meet the members who have helped them, the quote was recent but there have been many members over the years with the same outlook.
The frustrating thing is that we are wasting our breath on some members, if we get too hyped up, it is read as aggression, some say they are shy and don't like meeting people, the internet is a great tool if used sparingly but surely we should wish to meet real people rather than stare at the screen and type away, as much fun as it can be, it's not the same as a face to face, once you've met up, then you understand people a little better.

Christ, I'm as shy as they come really and was really nervous about going to Fest (Kathy was apprehensive too) but we had a whale of a time :)

Very strange, it comes up as Bevington Inns on your bank statement so its all legit

Yup. your absolutely right Matt, as I paid mine weeks ago and they took payment straight away over the phone. Maybe when the others rang, the person who deals with taking payments wasn't around?? Who knows???

i tried booking at 4.55 last night and person who deals with it wasnt there, so they asked me to ring back today, will let you know
