We decided to cut Fest a day short and left this afternoon due to the weather forecast for tomorrow. We got a preview of what may be to come as we drove north through Wellingborough and onto the A14 - terrible driving conditions. Torrential rain and standing water everywhere. We timed it quite well it seems
Well it was a cracking weekend as usual - the smaller attendance didn't affect the enjoyment of the weekend. The mosquitos again got their teeth stuck into me so I've got the itchy leg syndrome again
Firstly, a huge thanks to Andy for arranging the booking of the field for the weekend. A shame you and the family couldn't make it this year - but I'm sure we'll see you again at next year's event (and in Blackpool)
Thanks to Dick for the loan of the cooker (the one thing that didn't get loaded into the car!). Steve for the BBQ duties on the Saturday night and everyone else for making Fest what it is.
We had a couple of visitors - Border Cougar and his better half popped over on the Saturday afternoon and Shirtzeus this morning while we were packing away. It's always good to meet a new face. Manos also paid us a visit with his spotlessly clean C2 for everyone to drool over. It looks factory fresh - a testament to the time and money he invested in it's restoration
We also had a new/old face in Kevin (Silver Dream Machine) who joined us on Saturday for the night with his daughter Millie. Millie seemed to enjoy her first Fest so we may see them again next year
For the Sunday nighters - I hope the weather isn't as bad as the forecast when the time comes to pack away tomorrow. There's nothing worse than everything getting soaked when dismantling the tent.
I also think this year marked a watershed moment for Fest - Cougars were outnumbered by 'outlaws'

Three Cougars (six if you count the day visitors), my Mazda, Paul's Audi, Steve's Fezza, Uncle Fester and a Beemer
On another note, C2s outnumbered C1s....who would have thought it??!!
Roll on Fest 2016!
