Cougarfest Dilemma!

It would be good to have a fridge etc but as Matt said, Tatton wasn't a cold weekend and our food was still at an acceptable temperature by the end of the weekend. We actually froze all foods of beef origin which in itself keeps the temperature down and they can be cooked from frozen, this along with the cool packs did the trick.

See you there Cougar people!:cool::cool::cool:

Yup, we did the same - they kept ok (y)

Slightly off topic.....we saw a PT Cruiser on the M62 on the way back from Harewood on Sunday with 'Mr Grumpy' pictures and decals on it. Was wondering for a moment if it was you :LOL:

Come on John, you know that's just a viscious rumour!:):):)

I think that the marquee is essential just in case of inclement weather, those gazebo's wouldn't stand up to a battering from the wind even though we're grateful to Chris and Tim when they bring theirs to shows. The rest can be worked around very easily for us, we have all that we need to sustain life and I like to cook my breakfast over charcoal. The hotplate is handy, I won't deny that, it's also a focal point as people don't bring portable bbq's. We just need to ensure that the group doesn't become splintered as a result of people cooking around their tents.(y)

Why not have a communial cooking area then? I.e. A gazeebo. Then we can sit in the marquee and not have streaming eyes from the smoke and grease driping on our heads ;) all the beer could be kept out of the "sun" in the shade too, because cool box's arent infalible, food can still go off even if its shut in your cars boot if its really hot.

Oh stop being a girl Matt!:LOL::LOL::LOL:

Our grub was in a cool box in a hot tent at Tatton and survived very well for that so I am sure that it'll be ok, cool boxes are infallible, their owners often aren't. Ria often leaves the lid off but after I've punched her, she remembers to put it back on.

Ass slapping is WAY different to punching! Maybe you should stick to what you know on this one!! ;)
