Fitted Racebits induction kit today

the difference with racebits and k&n is with k&n you get a new mounting rubber and bracket but with the racebits one the cone sits further in towards the wing so you would have to make up a new mounting brcket anyway but make sure you do as the weight of this will cause the rubber to eventaully split at the tbh as this will be carrying all the weight

where have you fitted the air temp sensor to-there is no hole in my filter so i fitted it into the hole in the black metal piece

mike u got v6 or zetec the airtemp sensor was originally in the air box the k&n comes with a hole pre made at the back of the filter to locate it in on the v6

V6 but on racebits filter there is no hole-i dont fancy drilling the cone so i put it in the hole on the black metal piece

I know the piece he means. it's the correct place for the temp sensor... just a little bit of a bugger to fit.. Its the black bracket that bolts on the the air flow meter... it has a short pipe sticking out the side for the temp sensor... i used tape on mine as i was not sure about the permanant Glue idea..

Make sure the temp sensor is actually in the air flow. As i had to cut the metal pipe dow about 5mm so the sensor was cool enough or you will suffer from heat soak and it will run like a bag of poo...

i cut a piece of the supplied blue hose only about an 1inch put that in the hole then put air sensor in the hose it fits as snug as a bug(y)(y)(y)

got you know the mounting bracket on racebits kits plug in there and K&N plug directly into back of filter itself

cant see the air sensor but this pic shows the metal piece
