Hello all,
Probably not a whole lot of foreign Ford Cougar owners active on this forum, but I've been browsing a bit and this seems like a fantastic community of Cougar enthusiasts. I am from the Netherlands and driving my Cougar for a bit over a year now. It is an awesome drive and quite a rare sight over here.
My model is a manual shifted '00 2.5l V6 in Melina Blue. Over the year I did some minor modifications to it and some more challenging modifications are in the pipeline, but all OEM. I am a bit new to the whole car maintenance/mechanics, so I hope to find some useful advice here as well
So far I replaced the original interior with leather seats and door panels and just kept the car in good shape. Some of the projects I am planning to do in the near future:
- Fit a new car stereo
- Install cruise control (I got a complete set from a scrap car and all the wiring is already there. It just seems that there are differences between a manual and automatic transmission - have to look into that)
- Try to find a (subtle) OEM rear spoiler
- Fit the Mercury Cougar front grille
Below some pictures.
Anyway, quite some text. Summarizing, I am happy to be here as there is not something as a Cougar community in the Netherlands. I've seen some awesome cars here already!
