Help needed differences between auto boxs and will they fit?

When I had a new transmission in my car the guy who did it was a specialist and he told me there were different versions of the ATX and they were not interchangeable.

Cheers chap, that's what i started to think after a while, but was not sure... Seems to me like it's either find another box, or think again..
 
Also, the vss controlls the gear shift, speedo, cruise control, radio volume sense to name a few.

You can buy my car with an uprated ATX with a kevlar torque converter, it cost me £1600:eek: but is drive like no other auto cougar I have driven

It's not for me chap, I already have a working ( Cursed it now) Cougar Auto... but thanks for the offer.. (y)
 
Cheers Tony, will pass it on to Si ..(y) He has just messaged me saying it looks like he may replace this car, and get another Cat.. When up on the ramps earlier, it seems like it may need some work doing in the very near future.. Subframe was starting to rot through etc..
 
Adds is right there seems quite a lot wrong with my Cougar the subframe is on its way out the pas pump is leaking the front discs need doing as well as the gear box. Where do I stop
 
TBH if the body is in good nick, it will be worth spending the money, there is very little apart from service items, that go wrong with these, so once you spend on it once, its very rare to have to do it again soon after, subby's are about 300 quid from fraud, and your guaranteed nearly 10 yrs with that lol, am going through similar with Goblin at the mo, its a long road, but worth it to know i've got a bloody good car when its all done ;-)
