help!

In fairness Al it is a better cause, wasn't intended as a dig at you mate just a suggestion that in the spirit of the club a whip around for fuel might be an idea worth considering

Paul, that "collection" for my plate was not a forum collection or anything at all to do with forum funds, it came purely and 100% from members having a whip round for me. I was as surprised as anybody at the time.
I'd appreciate it now if this thread can continue on it's topic, while we review it.

edit:

How many members are attending this mfsm?

I for one would be more than happy to chip in for this - granted, it wouldn't be much, likely a fiver cos I'm on a tight budget myself, but if a few other people are happy to do the same then there's your tank of fuel and this engine can get to where it needs to be.

As a noob, I've been following this thread with interest, it stands as a shining example of what this club seems to be about. I'd love to help further (always fancied mucking in on something like an engine swap), and having received some welcome help since joining I'm up for paying it forward, but my mechanical skills are limited, plus I'm just too far away and can't really justify the trip.

thank you mart, very kind of you but I wouldn't expect for the forum to chip in for the petrol, you all really are doing above and beyond as it is! a MFSM will be VERY soon all being well, I guess I get the engine here and then try and set a date :)

messages sent to both :D so looks like this is happening on Friday. Am I too early to start a thread in the MSFM to see when we can all get together?

Just a little excited here :D tis the start to getting the old boy on the road again :D
