JP Boerhof's Cougar project

yesterday i tried it again, and it wont pop in :( tonight i'm going to give it another try... damn thing :p

are there people here with the st170 brake upgrade on the front?
 
Don't be frightenened of giving it a good firm push it will pop in eventually.
A few people have done the st170 discs and mondeo mkIII calipers I have got the kit to fit soon just cleaning the calipers and hangars at the moment.
 
First time i looked at this thread, and i gotta say JPB thats how it should be done ;-)
Very nice work fella.

As for the driveshaft, 'feel' the splines line up then kick the hub as hard as you like, just dont use a hammer!!!! (eh paul lol)
 
finaly i got the drive shaft in, it needed a big push. hehe

the car is on his wheels again :D

Looking good, that colour really does suit the Coug, I wonder why Ford never thought of using it on the Cougars???
 
I’m trying to start my cougar after i replaced everytihing.

The automatic gearbox is gone luckily, but with the mtx75 the car won’t start, I think the plug from the automatic gearbox has the problem, but what should I do? I checked the schedule’s from Ford, but I can’t find it..

Please can anyone help?
 
Ecu doesn't need changing Tony it's years since mine got converted but there is a few things that need messing with to get it to start and to remove the 4500rpm limit.
