No it should be fixed in place behind the glove box. If I remember rightly it just clicks into place, then a slight push to one side releases it to drop down again.
Shouldnt be a problem. I used to have an occasional issue where my V6 wouldn't disarm the immobiliser, a quick smack on the underside of the fusebox usually sorted it 
There should be a release button mounted vertically on the cage the fuse box is mounted in; pulling the button downwards releases the box allowing it to swing down giving access to the fuses.

Just to elaborate on the fuse box; it looks as though it has also come away from it's rear mounting points.
The two pegs, top and bottom, on the rear of the box (to the right of the photo) need to be located in their corresponding cups/slots and then the box should pivot upwards and latch in place. It can be a bit of a fight to get them to latch due to the wiring which has to be squashed as the box is swung upwards.

Well I didn’t win it. It went for much more than I felt happy spending. £2750 plus the fees would have made this over 3k without the costs involved in getting it home. So if anyone has a nice v6 with low miles let me know
u did well to stop mate.....thats way too much imo...
i know its disheartning but there are great ones out there for way less than that.. if u want one cheap keep an eye out for non runners on ebay etc that u can view and determine have a good shell...mechs are easy to fix...holely sills not so.
and as others have said mieleage is not so important on a 23 year old car...

I’m in the Midlands. There’s one for sale in chepstow at 2500 currently on eBay but the list of advisories is concerning.
Where are you Mikey? There was, maybe is. Pretty decent one on eBay close to me in S Wales, 2.5 Auto. It is in the Ebay sales thread, I went too look at it and it’s pretty straight. I commented on it in the Ebay listings thread. I went past there a week or 2 ago and it wasn’t on display but it’s still on Ebay.

Appreciate the offer, I have seen that one but the Auto puts me off really, although my daily is an auto id like a manual v6 really.
I'll be going through Chepstow twice tomorrow, could possibly give it the once over on my way home late afternoon, early evening.
