love this bodykit wish i had the pennys

Unless I'm mistaken that's not a Roush kit (or even a Roche!) but a Wings West. Not quite as rare as hens' teeth, rocking horse poo and unicorn horns, but not far off!

I have that kit bar the front, and im still searching for one :( just using the no limits front until the faithful day when one becomes available!

It must be a typo. Must be. Unless he wants a swap, as the text of the ad sort of suggests.

But for a quid as taxed and MOTed runner? I'll go and get it, drop off the front to localloon, then take it home, garage it up, and completely Steve Morris it.

thats the only thing that puts me off its in ayr anytime i have went through there to collect or bye something its been a reck but all i want is the body kit supose i could swap the parts round as mine is silver frost that way the cat aint going to the scrapys:) i aint going to get my hopes up though comes down to the pennys i have said to the wife it could be a project to keep me out of her way when i am on off

got an email from the guy asking for an offer i guess he aint getting much intrest offer sent but cant see him accepting it

how easy is it to remove these side skirts and what damage would be left if any to the 16v can any one advise?
could they be easily removed if they could then i could swap parts round and sell the 16v

If they're bonded on you'd have glue left on the car as you'll have to cut through it. If its tape, you'll be able to clean it off. There are also 4 screws in each skirt under the sill in the middle as well as in each arch. When pulling the skirts from the bumpers, it could pull paint off if they've ever been painted anything less than perfectly. Dependant on how many years that kit has been fitted, could be a clean up if taped on or if bonded you could be into a respray for both bumpers and sides.

Depends what the kit was bonded with ? i have removed kits with ease that have been fixed with Tigerseal and other times i have had some issues with it removing small amounts of paint.. Hot water and some fishing wire and nice and slow should do it, and for the left over seal on the body work i used tar remover with good results.. I have also used petrol with good results, the hardest thing is to get the kit away from the body without either breaking the kit or pulling the paint off...

I would say it depends how they've been fixed on. If it's simply Tigerseal or similar then you should be able to carefully cut through the sealant with thin blade. You'll probably end up damaging the paint on the car either doing this or when removing the remainder of the sealant, so it'd need a small amount of paint prior to sale.

Also if the sills have been keyed to promote adhesion, that will deffo be a respray. Also if the holes for the screws were never treated, rot may have set in and you could potentially pull a hole in the sill. You'd be best going to inspect it first.
