took the cougar for its mot and not good the rear subframe has gone and the rear drop links and a h/brake cable as well so this would be the end of many a cougar with the cost of a subframe alone but i have got the cables and a subframe i bougth 2 years ago redy for such a time wich has been in the workshop waiting to be put to good use so this cougar will not be scraped like so many in the past forward planing works lmao(y):D(y)
was told new subframe would be £600.00+vat
when i told the guy i had one he looked shocked and is fitting it on tusday and re/test
hope to be back on road in her by wed

don't quite know what that was about, i was just trying to point them in your direction as you're the one on here who brakes them ! thought i was being helpful , probably keep quiet in future !

What was wrong with the subframe? Did it have A HOLE in it?

Match I had the same issues luckley you have a sub frame but it cost me 100quid for the frame and 150 for fitting and new handbrake cables plus a few other parts were fitted so hope you have a good garage like mine

One of my jobs with bogey is to get it on a ramp and give subframe/brake lines and both sills a good wire brush then k rust it all and finally give it all a good wax oil or similar.

I had both rear brake lines replaced along with the handbrake cables at HQ (copper pipes) so they should be fine (y)

well the only bit that has no rust is the holes guy said when he droped it it fell to bits but even he said it did not look that bad at first
