MOT surprise!

After a quick shufty, all looks well except for the nearside headlight which i have just emptied about half a pint of water from. Damn condensation, looks like that'll be coming apart very soon.:D

Apologies for keeping you in suspenders chaps, but it's been a busy day, not with the car but just general stuff. Ok, She failed on:

Nearside rear brake: low effort.

Advisory: offside front cv outer joint boot leaking grease:

Not exact wording but basically that's the lot. I stripped the rear ns brake caliper and found the adjuster slightly seized, but i soon had it moving again. I had a spare set of disks, so i decided to fit them and new pads also which have been biding their time in the cave for about a year. Both sides done, i went to the front and put a new clip on the cv boot. I noticed the front disk on the os was also very rough looking on the inner face so i've decided to change them aswell, but dinner called so that'll be done tomorrow. Oh it feels good to be under the car again with spanners and sockets on bolts that actually work properly. (y)

Compare:

The replacement disks have been stored in my cave for a while and did need a bit of wire brushing to get rid of the red powder but they soon cleaned up. Tbh, there is not much wear on the disk thickness and would macine up again, just don't know if it's worth doing anymore.
