my car, not a cat

Lend me £100K mate and I will because there aint no way otherwise (the banks wouldn't lend me anymore) and i'll have you know I've got nearly 3 years yet

Yeh, know what you mean, these days it is very, very difficult to get onto the housing ladder. My mate has £20k deposit to put down and owns his own very successful business but the banks just won't give him a mortgage, they say they need at least another £10k of deposit!!

Me - well, I just rent, I know it's dead money but at least I have my own place

There is a small one bed flat round the corner from me (ironicaly it used to be my brothers rented accomodation) its a nice place but I just haven't got the dosh, silly Credit Card + Loan debts to sort out first, don't get me wrong its nice living at home and not having these problems with house-hold bills, but the folks are nutters ;) many a time I feel like phoning the men in white coats

do a search on blitz nur spec !!

it was loud. Get more flames with this one though as it isnt as sooted up yet :D

I just had a listen too. I can see your neighbour's point to be honest with you. Probably not what they need if trying to get a toddler to bed, or even just watch a film in peace. Maybe it would be better on a hill-climb or track-day car which doesn't get driven around lots? You have to admit that nobody wants to hear someone else's exhaust from the comfort of their own home... ;)

Has the new one affected the power output at all? :)

as some may remember I moved away from the cat fold last year and got myself an evo I promised some pics so here they are finally!!

(y)

cheers

its a 2004 evo 8 260 model, safely modded to 399.5 bhp :D

its got the standard turbo, uprated hks 272 profile cams, full 3" decat nur spec (very loud had a call from the police the other day about it :lol ) evo 9 suspension, uprated bigger brakes and pads, avcr boost controller running a peak of 1.65 bar and holding 1.5 to redline which is just under 8000rpm, and a ecuflash remap with switchable maps (one has an anti lag effect which gives plenty of pops bangs and flames :D ) aps dualport dump valve (recirculates at low rpm and dumps at higher rpm) and hks mushroom filter.
Rear spoiler is carbon fibre, front splitter is carbon fibre and there is some carbon fibre inside as well.

Good thing is because its the 360 version the road tax is just over £200 for the year :ihih:

Nice!!! :D:D Second sexiest car I've seen today

Good spec - should'nt be much lag with that set up? (No such thing as turbo lag - just the wrong gear )

Can't beat the nur-spec and anti-lag combo - it's how cars should be :yesnod::yesnod:

dont get me started on the neighbours, it took them 7 or 8 months to complain (police actually said they couldnt do anything as I havent been ragging it or anything), another neighbour has a caterham/westfield which is noisier, another car in the cul de sac is a skyline, and there is a mg rover with big exhaust that comes into the close. (not to mention a focus rs that live opposite the people who complained, and the fact the people who complained have a sporty fiesta with exhaust!!)

Power output hasnt been affected, in fact if feels a bit more lively (found out the old exhaust was only 2.75" diameter whereas the new one is full 3")
