My Cougar

Right I have the kerb lights working. I decided to use the sunroof power wire located running up the passenger pillar trim as the power source. Will post pics soon.

Hello V6SINGH been a bit preoccupied with other things. You will soon find with me I start things and then other people need something doing like this weekend I was rendering a wall for a family friend etc. I am hopefully going to make a set of smooth rear lights. Whilst in university I worked for a rapid prototyping company that made alot of components mainly for BMW so picked up a few tricks. I will keep you posted as and when I make any progress. Thanks for your kind comments

I'd be interested to see how you make your rear lights! I'm working on something similar but i'm going to be using recessed hella led rings, if my router ever turns up:cautious:
How do you plan on doing the curved braking lights?

Right the plan is to smooth off the original lens which I have removed from the remainder of the light. I then have to make a like male and female mold using silicone rubber. Then I am going to use a resin that would be suitable for the job and mix in a red dye to the mix. Thats the plan anyway.

My main priority at the moment is:

Get my MK3 mondeo brake set up on

Put the exhaust backbox and custom rear splitter john_wwfc made me on

In the process of making a storage compartment that will sit under the parcel shelf. This will be a slide out drawer that you have to push on slightly (push magnetic catches) for it to then release so it does not go sliding backwards and forwards everytime I go round a corner

I am also going to be buying a rear strut brace off of dogsbody

:)

If you want to pm me about your rear lights jmc123 I would be happy to share ideas / try and help

Hello guys

Right I bought a pair of rear lights off ebay and one came with a big piece missing out of the corner. They were like its my problem - take it up with the courier. I was like the missing piece is not in the box or packaging though. So they are sourcing a replacement.

Quick question my passenger side window goes up very slow. Does this mean the motor is on its way out. I did a quick search but could not find anything. Thanks for any help

Also I have been fiddling around with the laser cutter at work as I am going to start making cougar heads for the parcel shelf.

Right the ebayer has admitted that it must of been broken before it was packed so they are sourcing a replacement. Also thanks dyg I will give that a go

Got a week off work soon so the plan is to do all the bits I need to do to the car. Main priorities will be new CV joints, brake upgrade, fit strut brace and some other bits and bobs.

I bought a windproof umbrella which I have smoothed the handle off and sprayed to go with my silver and black theme

Currently toying with the idea of getting Cougar and the cougar head vinyl made up by Al for the handle. I have put a pair of velcro loop straps on the rear seat backing so I can secure the umbrella in place when not in use

Sprayed my rear roof light in preparation for fitting

Also a quick snap of my kerb lights. Sorry the flash was on and car was parked down side of house so could only open door so wide

Thanks gav they look OEM which is what I was aiming for. I have a white LED behind the door handles but forgot to take a photo of

The umbrella is more for my girlfriend. I have also made a start on marking a storage compartment that sits just below the parcel shelf. Looking forward to a week off work where I can chill out a bit and work on my car. Also thanks Paul for the CV joints info
