I remember reading a road test of the Cougar back when it was new. I'd just also been reading some old Capri road tests too (circa mid-80s). The old Capri articles blasted the "dated" styling, in particular the round "eyeball" style airvents in the dash. Jump to the Cougar article and the writer poured praise on the "fantastic retro-style eyeball airvents". Interesting how "terribly dated" became "fantastically retro" in only a few years.
