My dabble in hydro-dipping

Next up is to have a bash at the headlight switch surround in the gold carbon.....and then the hvac and then the inside door handle plastics and then..........lol

Its quite addictive!

How the hell have i missed this thread very impressed

I know, right? Such a great effect without any real drama once you've got the knack, as Dave has.

I'm very impressed. I'll report back to him how it copes with under-bonnet heat, but since people have done rocker covers with it, I don't think there'll be any problem.

The imrc lid I did is still all good under my bonnet :)

I quite fancy doing the upper part of my header tank, due to the fact its quite an ugly thing to look at, I just jave to decide what pattern to go for under the bonnet

Maybe the same one I used for my little girls bedroom light switch pmsl :Duploadfromtaptalk1383251865160.jpg

This is amazing!! How have I missed this thread..........seems much easier and better than spraying bits around the car.

Good work loony, very good work.

what sort of prices would you charge for little parts to be done dave?

All depends on what parts they are Si, it wont be silly money though, due to the fact I realy enjoy doing it :)

Basicly enough to cover the costs of the paint, laquer, film, activator and a couple of pints lol

Very possible Jim, however ive not dipped anything large yet so not sure if I could pull it off. Ive been buying film from a company in wales called 'Aquagraphix' and the stuff they turn out is absolutely top notch! They did a full puma dash in a skull pattern with a candy top coat and the finish was unreal! Have a look for them on Facebook mate

Quality!! That Puma dash is unreal. Your timing with this is stunning, we'll have to have a chat mate, this could solve one of my biggest problems. :D

Winglets moments after the dipuploadfromtaptalk1383853900463.jpgthanks to that silver quick bloke called Andy for the winglets

Been watching this Dave, very nice indeed and a hell of a lot easier than carbon skinning... something i may even have a dabble in when i get time, the gold Carbon on black looks very effective :)

Its alot less time waiting, prepping, pollishing etc. Fair enough its not real carbon but it looks dam good tbh and the amount of designs available are brilliant!
