All in good time Andy, I just have to make sure im capable of doing the larger items, main milestone will be the HVAC surround, once ive cracked that........
Price for a new blank + price of hydro-dipping materials + (a nominal hobbyist's hourly work rate / the amount of time it took).
You're good at this and its taken practice and investment to get that way. I seriously doubt anyone's going to complain if you used the formula above.
I have no idea (nor care of course) what you'd want to charge as an hourly rate, but those blanks are about £8 here. Materials and such are maybe £3? So as a starting point, I think that with time and materials, you could probably charge around £20-22 for that piece plus postage. Add a few quid if you set up an eBay shop.
I'm not sure how it scales in terms of materials and size of the piece - it's probably not linear - but that's where I'd start.
The figures I plugged into the formula - mostly the elapsed time - were definitely a bit on the high side Scunny, but I wanted to think about the broader potential in other markets as well, and how it'd be received. Especially since it doesn't need to be a Cougar-specific service.
