My dabble in hydro-dipping

The figures I plugged into the formula - mostly the elapsed time - were definitely a bit on the high side Scunny, but I wanted to think about the broader potential in other markets as well, and how it'd be received. Especially since it doesn't need to be a Cougar-specific service.

Fair point well made

Thanks for all your input chaps, that particular part came in my car when i bought it, and the item im replacing it with was gifted to me, so they basicly cancel each other out.

Also with it being the 1st item im offering up for sale, im testing the water with demand and I would like honest feedback of the finish and workmanship. So £12 it is, cheap cheap so shouldnt hang around too long :)

This all looks very good Dave can you do different designs and colors? Might have use for your services in the future looking at the quality

Cheers Matt! Theres loads of differnt films with allsorts of patterns available, and many more to come I imagine due to the popularity of this process rapidly growing!

With the semi transparent films you can apply any base colour you wish to personalise the effect the film has, and ive seen candy paints used over the top of the film to realy give it an awsome effect

Im not sure tbh Andy, it sounds possible but ive not come accross any info about it. What sort of design were you thinking?

After 4 dips im struggling, only enough film for one more attempt now :(

uploadfromtaptalk1386511158426.jpgthats the best ive done so far but still not quite right!

Angle, speed, water temp, activator amount. The main skill is knowing how to dip each piece. Thats the bit im lacking lol

i was pretending i knew what i was on about having read your post on f/b :)

Still a useable piece isn't it?

Yeh, thats the beauty of it, just flat it back, re-paint and dip again! I can see it costing me a small fortune in film to get to grips with the larger parts, but hey ho, fingers crossed it will be worth it
