New look rear lights

Well guys ive wanted to do this for well over 2 years after i 1st saw Rob & jacqui's Cat .
And after chris did his well i had to go and do mine too :face:
All i will say is take your time if your going to do it and its worth the end result .
I will be re-doing the chrome rings later as they were a little fiddly to be honest :roll:

you can get the 3 mm trim on ebay for about £5 posted mate

There just painted mate , takes a few hours to do but deffo worth it in the end :yesnod:

good job,just curious ive managed to ge a hold of a pair of light covers but like the chrome rings on it,hoping to get mine sprayed and fitted this weekend

What sort of primer/paint did you use?

well paul you should be able to fit the chrome trim around your lights even with the covers fitted , im sure you would get the same effect

just good old grey primer from Halfrauds and a can of there finest Melina blue to colour them with , also a can of clear Lacquer to finish off :smilewinkgrin:

Might try and get hold of some spare rear lights and have a go at that

just use 1500 grit wet and dry to take the shine off the units and give the paint something to key too , and take your time i spent about 5 hours from start to finish

Yep mate straight forward Halfords Melina blue , but do use primer 1st , this brings the colour out so much better

sorry alan i misread the bit about the melina blue to,havent had much sleep since weekend al so hard to look at screen mate lol
