Hi Barry and welcome to the club (madhouse) great bunch on here and a few laughs to be had along the way,loads of info no manuals made for cougar but all the info is either in subscriber section (£13) or the members are both knowledgeable and helpful,as well as a little mad:LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:

then by all means....Paint away !
Im working on mine this weekend, I will have it up in the Air, wheels off and Brakes in bits !
While im doing that i will also Respray the Wheels Black like my first Cougar.
And white letter the tyres !

Thanks for the Welcome. as for there being no Manual for the Cougar.......
Well.....

I have one !

From the U.S back in 2005.

its a FORD CHILTON repair Manual that covers the U.S & Canadian Models,
FORD CONTOUR/MERCURY MYSTIQUE and COUGAR from 1995 to 1999
its from total car care, Manual number 26170.

and it has come in handy many times !
I know a lot of guys that bring in cars and parts from the U.S
So I asked around and a freind got me the Manual.

Not what you know its who you know !

Hi Guys,

Been working on my 2nd Cat this weekend, A good check up on the Brakes and running gear. and while I was seeing to those, that I gave the Body work some much needed Attention along with the Wheels.
once the Paint had dried and a good Colour restore "and elbow Grease"
She now staring to look Very tidy. Although I am going to take the rear Bumper off and give it a full Respray.

While I had the wheels off I decided to Paint the Letters on the tyres,
And it does'nt look to bad.
just looking forward to getting the Full Stainless on her now.

Well iv not seen another cougar with the heads on the wings.
until yours of course !

but they do look good !

I put the Cats Logo's on my first Cougar, but under the Indicater.
"Before I added the Side stripe"

so a good place to put it PID 16V,

But dont worry, wont be long before they are off and I have the same Graphics As my first Cougar.
" once the Bumper has been done".

Side Repeaters...............

Na I actully like them in Orange !

Although Its a shame that ford didnt continue the "new edge" theme into them,
like the Triangular one's on the side of the Focus.
they would look good on the side of the Cougar.
