At long last, our C1 is now back on the road with a pair of new wishbones and front tyres.
Once again, Mo and I owe a huge thank you to Tony (cyrano1127) for his hard work today. Cheers Tony. :D :D :D

It's nice to drive in a straight line again.

Here's a few of the pics I took of the occasion.

New wishbones

Driver's side.
Tony did this side properly by lowering the subframe so the bolts could go in the correct way up.

The subframe needed a little leverage

And now the passenger side.
Not many pics of this side as I popped out to get the tyres fitted.

that looks a tidy job guys, need to do mine to pass the mot on top of a few other bits, been told that ford have quoted ?ú150 each  what sort of price did you pay? does anyone know where I can get them any cheaper and anyone near telford who could help do as good a job as these guys?

I paid ?ú240 inc. shipping for the wishbones from BAT in the US + about ?ú30-?ú40 taxes. Then about ?ú50 for the nuts and bolts from Ford. Then some pocket money for Tony's labour.

Is your quote from Ford just for labour? If it includes parts they've mistakenly thought the Cougar is the same as a standard Mondeo.

I have always (since living in this area) taken mine and Caths cars for MOT and other work I can't do myself to SevenValley Motorsport and always had good service. Took my cougar from bodyshop to garage to get MOT done and went back tonight to ask what needed doing. They have been quoted by Ford ?ú150 per side (?ú300 in total) just for the parts and then on top I have Sevenvalleys labour charge. I am also running on Toyo proxy T1R 225 - 40 -18 and had one really bald on the front offside and the cheapest replacement I could get today for the mot was ?ú118 so anyway i can reduce the cost of getting the work done for the MOT the better. :? by the way i am getting a pushbike and joing greenpeace

It needed persuading, Paul

I know the feeling. My Dad got me a couple of chopped down scaffold polls from work; they work quite well. But they arent anywhere near as impressive as your wood Tony

   Yeah Paul, I would have phrased that differently.

Just got a new MOT for the C1 now. Needed a corroded brake line replacing and a rear radius arm bending back into shape.
The arm was going to be replaced but they couldn't get the bolts undone.
