Parked up for the last time

This is a real shame, I would have loved to seen this car in the flesh but alas, that is not going to happen now.
It seems to be the way right now with many Cougars, there have been quite a few very nice and interesting cars being sold on or broken. A real shame but I guess unless you got lots of money to throw at your car, this is going to happen to us all in time as these cars are not going to last forever.

Well she's gone :( stupid as it sounds I could have easily shed a tear she fought to the end I'll give her that much wheel spinning up the trailer, dragging the sills over the ramp.

Absolutely gutted seeing her leaving knowing she's gone I know some will say its only a lump of metal but the memories and the time I've had tango is the longest I've ever owned a car.

i have followed this thread with a degree of sadness. it aint about what anybody says or thinks. this is so much more than metal. it lives and breathes and we are always looking for excuses to wash, clean, modify or even just drive. its not about just jumping in and driving off. this was a car you (and all of us here) chose for a reason. to enjoy. am really sorry for your loss and feel for you mate. all the best in the future.

I know Jason won't mind, but those not fully up to speed. I will be offering for sale parts front Tango and a thread has been started in the breakers yard.

Jason is keeping hold of quite a few bits should another suitable project come along.

I remeber when cat2 was broken for spares i was gutted (just ask Rob).

Not an easy decision, as i said before.

Never nice waving goodbye to a car you like. Some folk can't understand that, and all I can surmise is that they must buy cars they don't really like. Sorry it's gone Jason, but the memories are yours to keep. Sometimes it's best to part company before the reality tarnishes the memories if you know what I mean. SORNing it would have left you with a heap to sort out next year. Cars don't like being parked up.

Just putting my 620turbo back on the road now after 15months in the driveway and I've created myself a load of hassle for doing so. Perhaps I'll learn one day! It's great that Dave has stood you a car in the mean time, and I look forward to seeing whatever direction you go in next :)

Thanks guys at least I know I'm not the only strange one, Jamie that's exactly the reason I got rid of her I know that it would be sat there bodywork getting worse the good mechanicals on it seizing up etc.

Hopefully some of these guys can find some useful bits that will help their cougars going longer.

everything has a manitou jj if you care for a machine you inprint something of yourself on it and it manifests the manitou, the north american indians were strong believers in this.

every car is different in relation to its owner
