Parked up for the last time

I have retained Di`s plate, just in case she decides a few months down the line she wants another car, it costs £105 to retain the plate for 1 year, when you transfer it to another car there is no further cost.
so when you get your new vauxhall .. no cost to transfer the plate.

Or it's £80 to whack it on another car!! That last pic Gina posted makes me sad. They're both dead now then :(

bloody hell, the more i see the more i think we should do some musketeer stuff here, can all of of us help jjs car until hes up and running i mean donate some parts man you know? i see hes quite talented on the hi fi car thing if that takes off funds and cash flow will keep tango alive, i dont mind handing out some cards to the boy racers down here beat boxs and speakers is big time round here, im just planting a few seeds dude is it doable or no?

I know that if Jas, needs/wants help to keep tango alive a bit longer there will be no shortage of helpers and donations, i for one would be in the lead crew, but it always comes down to what Jas actually decides. There must be complete cougars in bits up and down the country, i must have half a cougar alone in the Pidcave.
Good point well made Anthony (y)

As I said guys the numerous PM's I have had last 24 hours and posts in here offering help is amazing and I genuinely appreciate them along with all the help in the past that has kept tango going long after she should have rightfully gone for scrap, that said its the right time for her to go help other cats keep moving on a bit longer.

Plans have been made so that the kit and suspension are being removed and kept by me the rest is being moved on to be broken which has cured what was a potential massive headache for me with new neighbours having recently only just moved here.

There is something potentially in the pipeline re a replacement for tango which will be a bit different but nothing concrete yet just ideas at the moment.

A Vauxhall?

Not to pick over the bones of Tango but seeing as she's a Zetec and off to be broken, there are a couple of bits I may take off your hands if you don't mind (y)

So, it may not be RIP Tango just yet then? It would be sad to see her go, somewhat of an iconic car....with a very loud ice system....ahem! LOL!!!

Tango is Definately going Tim all the wiring has been removed yesterday and will be removing the kit today, she will be collected next week and the suspension and brakes that I want to keep are being returned to me.

There is a potentially interesting tango replacement in the works a first for me at any rate.

Thundecat ?

Once again this club has come to my aid :) Dave(DYG) has very kindly lent me his auto Coug so I'm not lumbered without a car so collecting that later from Mark in Bolton and Si has offered to collect tango and break the bits I want to keep and the rest of the car for me, I really do love this club.

Any enquiries for parts will now need to go to Si as he is taking care of that for me but I would wait until he has collected the car to know what's available, I am keeping hold of suspension and body kit for now just incase I'm able to acquire another cougar In the future. Engine gearbox etc is all in good nick and things like wishbones etc will be staying with Si to go from his place, which has really done me a huge favour as all local scrappys by me all required car to be on four wheels which would have meant all the good bits getting taken so a huge thanks to Si for his help and Dave for ensuring I'm not without a car to get princess to school etc.

Thanks guys

JJ

You are welcome matey.

I know this was a hard decision to make....been there with cat2.

Nice one Dave...helping the Jones' out with transport too.

Glad to hear it's all falling into place with help from this great family of ours. A club like no other (y)

Sure is John really does show how much more it is than a "car club" if I had decided to try and sort it out the offers of help in this thread and PM would have got it done, unfortunately the rust round door handles would have been best part of £800-1000 to sort due to the one off colour being mixed and even then May not have matched perfectly.

As much as its the right decision still sad to see tango go certainly was unique and drew attention.
