What you don't know what a Capri looks like   you are a young-un

Tut tut....

Matt has a point here! The Cougar was supposed to be the Capri Mk5.....

Shame it never really took off :(

Capri's were ace. One for every budget. Engines ranging from 1.3 litre to 3.1 litre. Gay little 4 bangers up to big lazy V6s.

4 seats, a hatchback with folding rear seats from the Mk2 onwards, rear wheel drive.... limited slip diffs on late V6s...... what more can you ask for?? :D

They look ace on big wide wheels

They look even better in the rear view mirror, at least there one mean machine the cougar has a chance to get past, unmodified may i add, but the cougar has to be moded to get past ????

does i make sense ?

thanks Lorraine for postin me pics up on der site, appreciated....

i got one name correct, bring out the bubbly!!!!!

Ria, Ria......... programmed now........

Maybe, but not to me fella

The Capri was a fairly quick car, and the 2.8i wasn't "slow" even by today's standards. 0-60 in 7.8secs IIRC.

They look evil in the rear view mirror 8)

now that ain't done much for my confidence on overtakin a capri, best make sure it's a 1.3 / 1.6 eh!!!!! :p

the cougar will just smile in your rear view mirror, nothin evil about it, unless your a pedestian under the wheels eh!!!!!

i like the capri too, friend of mine has the 3.0 ltre version..... nice!

the guy is trying to find a set of air horns off a lorry for me so i can wake you sleepy heads up at cougarfest........

As a capri nut back in the day this is a tad wrong,,, the essex lump and the german 2.8 always seams to get quoted wrong in modern websites.

Most you got from the 2.8 was 138bhp as standard, the 3.0 pushed nearly 154bhp and thats were the 7.9 0-60 comes from.

The change from the essex to cologne engine was about torque and mph and saving a few ?ú?ú?ú.

Mind you i am open to be told to shut up and know my place :)

I love that red beemer!! That's a proper looker!! Great pics people!! So gutted I missed out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Pic's Manos...the year is really flying by & i'm a little bit p****d off we missed this one. Sharon & I are struggling to find time together let alone get away this year, we are so busy at work  even Cougarfest is looking doubtful, we will try & get to come to as many meet's as we can this year.. :D
