Finally found a rear spoiler for Bernard, it’s a Roush from Dandamano’s car along with a replacement hatch (mine was poorly repaired and looked) Deleted the rear wiper too, just waiting for the correct sized grommet to fill the hole!

I deleted them off both of my Celica’s, that long arm sticking up on the screen just doesn’t rock my boat, a coating of rainex makes the droplets just disappear once on the move
Converting to a horizontal rather than vertical rear wiper is quite straightforward:
The horizontal wiper makes sense to me especially if there is snow on the window, as the first stroke is downward, personally the look does not bother me .
Indeed, nothing better than a swoosh of a wiper to clear the screen of snow, certainly better than trying to clear it with an ice scraper 
Oooooh yeah, when we first moved to Maidenhead there was a very cold winter with lots of snow, my wife ripped off both of her wiper blades on her Leon as they were firmly stuck on the glass 
Been there done that.
Last winter in the lil Suzi I turned wipers on, found they were frozen to screen, jumped out , freed them off, then they hit my hands as I’d left them on. Jumped back in turned them off.
Back out, finished deicing the screen then drove away.
10 mins later on the M4, rain. I turned the wipers on but they wouldnt work.
Then the real fun started !
