Running a Cougar as a third car (in a house of two)

From the boot, last trip out was a tip run. And yes the struts are borked!
Noticed this gap on the drivers door seal
Interior shot, where you'll see it has the desirable velour upholstery fitted
It may lack the essential cow hide, but it does have a full complement of pistons at least. I think that black tube on top is new-ish (whatever it is)
And finally a couple form underneath; those two hole sin centre of picture look alarming

Perfect! Imgur seems to automatically resize for forum posts (if you don't do it yourself). I'm actually glad to see Photobucket dying because I'm fed up with people posting 6MB pics. Whenever I saw that rubbish I would close the tab.
Aaaanyway, that looks very tidy. What holes were you talking about? Because all I can see is the usual sill drains?

Sill drains, that what they are! I thought they were too uniform to be rust induced.
Once I relocate it here I'll be instigating a 'must do' plan of preventative maintenance, using knowledge gained on here. I'll start a thread when we get there and harness the collective knowhow.

Yeah, some of the holes are actually deliberate!
That's okay and you're quite welcome to, but just go an buy a can of Hammerite underbody seal (with Waxoyl additive) and go completely nuts with it. As long as you keep it away from the exhaust and heat shields, it's not as though you can go wrong.

You remember that "hole" in my offside chassis rail that I wasn't sure about? Yeah. That's genuine. The hole that appeared behind it isn't.
Tiger has a year left at most unless that can be fixed. Problem is that it's structural so it might be time to let her die.

Was it on here where a chap from Lithuania (?) did that very thing? Loads of the stuff in structural areas? It might have been elsewhere, but I'm sure it was on a Cougar
There was quite a 'debate' on here regarding the fibreglassing of sills started by a member called ISG from somewhere out that way.*

So, plans are progressing to get my grubby mitts on said motor vehicle. All being well a pal and I will be heading down to NE Derbyshire in a fortnight's time with a view to getting it sorted for an MOT. All very tight time wise as I'm sure you'll appreciate.
However speaking to my MiL it transpires that apparently the blowers don't work. Now I'm fairly sure that's an MOT fail so I'm hoping someone may be able to identify any common and easily checked faults I could maybe get checked prior to heading down. I appreciate the fuse is the first thing to check so could someone tell me which one and I'll see if it could be looked at?

Blowers? Heater blowers? Not even checked during MOT unless it's a cold day and the tester is hoping for a bit of heat. You won't fail, though.

Hi there! Is it just the blower that doesn't work? As in, the rest of the HVAC (and dashboard instruments) are okay?

Yes, as far as i have been led to believe it's just the blower, all else is fine (initially I thought it was the a/c that had died). For some reason I thought you needed a demister for the MOT so that's a good bit of news!
