Some news from Aussiecat

Great new's Viv glad to hear your treatment is make you feel better and you can start to get abit of normality back in your life.I'm 3 months in from my op and getting stronger each week ,I've also got my CT scan at the end of the month . So take care and keep strong ,your getting there x

I am so pleased to hear you are going well too subby. It takes the body a while to recover from something like this and sometimes it can seem it is all taking too long but you have to learn to be patient and that is something I am not very good at!! Let us know the results of the CAT scan when you hear. Good luck! x

Godspeed, girl.

Everyone here - even people who don't know you - will be pulling for you, I'm sure.

Keep in touch and let us know how you're getting on.

Thanks Tim. Don't fprget to let me know when you are coming to Bath!!

No worries Viv, will do. We will be in Bath from the 15th to the 18th Oct. We will meet up with you. We are staying at the Hotel you took us all to when we had the last Bath Cruise last year, so all should be good. Think you know the manager there don't you? lol

I am super new to the Club, but like a few people have had experience with various cancers, My Mother had Thyroid Cancer. Had to have it removed and has now lost a lot of her vocal abilities. On the other hand she survived and is now as better as she will ever be, and hopefully for a long time to come. My Father in law had bowel cancer, and fortunately again has made a recovery from it.

Advances in both medicine and awareness of the problems has helped many people and I am thankful it sounds like you are one of those.

I know we don't know each other, but I have read all the nice things about you. I wish you, with all my heart, the very best of luck and good health for the future. Maybe I'll get the pleasure of meeting you one day :)

As a new person to the club your sentiments are much appreciated Gareth.

I am sorry to hear that both your parents have had to battle cancer. The more I talk to others about cancer the more people tell you about members of their family and friends who have had it. It is really scarey how much of it is around and it appears it is still increasing. Thank heavens for the advances in the drugs to combat it, I am lucky to have a cancer that usually responds well. I will have a CAT soon to tell me how many more treatments I need and I have to say the time has gone quickly.

When I'm through this lot and get the all clear I shall hopefully get out to events and meets more, I have made some great friends on here, even some of those who no longer have cougars keep in touch. As a single person this club opened up a whole new world for me.

Great to hear the positive news Viv. I realise it's a long road but you're most definitely heading in the right direction. And getting your appetite back is always a bonus. Take care and best wishes for a continued recovery (y)

Have had a couple of good days with being behind the wheel again first time since coming out of hospital. It was great fun to be out and about in the sunshine. (y)(y)

Watch out!! :):)

Hi Viv, I've only just caught up with all of this and was initially shocked by the news then relieved that you seem to be really positive about it all and that initial indications look good. All our love, Janie, Gill and the girls x
