The fest aftermath!

Looked truly amazing, gutted at missing it (but some consolation in that my son's party was kicking too).

Reserve us a pitch for 2011!

I really couldn't begin to thank everybody enough for a weekend of fun, laughter and drinking in a field somewhere near northampton, It was great that Dick drove down and spent the weekend with us, his flag took me back to the first fest when a few scots made the trip and proudly draped their flags on their tents, good to meet you.
Stuntman Singh just had me roaring with laughter, three times within a few hours, firstly the high velocity bail-out off the waterbed, then when you said that you'd banged your head during the 'incident' and the final time when you came asking for Ria as you'd been stung a few times while setting the cars up for the photograph, apparently, a little wasp tells me that the blighter had been in Ginja's car and was irate trying to get out, I think you bore the brunt of the winged beasts fury!
If Dusty and bob were on stage, you'd go home with aching ribs through the adult themed discussions, saturday morning, I was not feeling as good as I could have been, as was the case on friday but after listening to those two for a short while, I was in the highest of spirits, thanks, both are legends.
Matt (cougarfella) for his fill in stunt in between Kullys, it must've hurt but I am sure that it'll get many hits on youtube, I still get tears of laughter in my eyes everytime I see it.
Thankyou to all of the people behind the organisation of Cougarfest, not just for this year but for sticking with it for 5 years and 6 fests to make this weekend easily the most fun you'll have in a field with a few dozen friends, Thank you all.
Mr & Mrs Hippy, brilliant to meet you, glad that you made the effort and the cakes were nice too.

I think it's a shame that more couldn't make it, but having said that, the people that could make it made it a memorable one, I said to Ria, if somebody said I could have our 2 week Maldives holiday or fest this year, I would more than likely go to the Maldives, but I would have to think about it, that's the point.

Right I'm going o have another look at Matts stunt on my phone!:LOL::LOL:

Vonny and me reluctantly left Grendon at 1.30pm, arrived home at 3.00pm. Couple of hours kip and dinner, since then i've been trying to work out how i can put what i want to say on here. Short and sweet, i gave up. It was just one hell of a weekend, with the best crowd ever. Familiar faces amongst a few new ones. Special dispensation has to go to D1ckl (Dick) for travelling all that way, and Dar, Mr and Mrs hippy! good to see you again, sorry, missed out on the brownie, didn't want to get crumbs on mofos sticker
Thanks for all the organising guys, and to all the members who made it happen.

What a weekend! and what a FEST...........(y)

I think that something that is worth mentioning is this; Not everybody wanted to work on their cars, not everybody wanted to wash their cars, not everybody had an alcoholic beverage, not everybody was dragged around on an airbed, not everybody went on the waterslide or wore fancy dress. But that is the essence of cougarfest, everybody came together, had fun in whichever way they wanted with no pressure to do anything that they weren't comfortable with, it really is a shame that the atmosphere cannot be bottled and given to members who've never attended, I stood there on many occasions over the weekend and took in the atmosphere and said " I love cougarfest" It was purely for that atmosphere that started in 2005 and has never changed, every event has been different but every one special.
It would be nice to think that Cougarfest 2011 will be an event that's pencilled in the events calender, the club would be a poorer place to be without it.

P.S. Probably best not to bottle the atmosphere when Kully's on/off the airbed:LOL:

Couldn't have put it better. The pics show that too if you look, not everyone doing everything that everyone else is. I tell you what isn't my idea of fun and that's........................another story!!

You only get out what you put in just like life. The only negative that I have is that more people didn't follow through with their commitment to fest. Every year is the same where by loads of folk put their names down then for whatever reason drop it at the last minute. I understand entirely that in genuine cases circumstances change that can alter pre made plans but for those that were either picking fault or criticising the event or moaning about costs incurred etc, until you've done a fest, refrain from talking about it as you really haven't the first idea. The only people that can support that statement, harsh as it may seem but true, are the people that attended for the first time. All sentiments there were all good. If you're seriously not a people person then fine, but next year will only see a fest if instead of breaking down the particulars, we get folk stuck in and there!

With that I'm off to go get dosed up! ;)

We just got back today after staying an extra night. Sorry we never got to say goodbye to everyone but we had an early start to get to Santa Pod.

We had a great weekend - our first Fest and like most first timers we were a bit nervous and didn't know what to expect. Don't know what we were worrying about, we had a fantastic time everyone was really friendly and made us feel right at home. Also big thanks to Tam and Mike for helping us with our erection on arrival!

Now we've had our first Fest - we'll definitely be coming again next year. And to anyone who is unsure about going next year - do it, it's a unique experience and the cars play second fiddle to the people and the good times (y)

Thanks to all involved for arranging everything that made this years Fest such a fantastic experience. All the time and work invested paid off big time - nice one (y)

As a side note, a white van arrived as we were loading the car today asking where the grill and fridge were (slopey shoulders time). Thankfully one of the staff turned up and told him they were at the Clubhouse. I thought I would have to find out how fast a V6 can accelerate on grass

p.s. Kathy says she loved the Goat Curry and is looking forward to some more at next year's Fest

....and I do realise that the above post contains more words than some got out of me the whole weekend - I am shy after all so be gentle with me

Haha!! yea hthey took it over there for safe keeping I don't think it would have been in the field by the end of the day! I am rubbish with names so must apologise to everyone for not keeping up with the names but I am pretty sure I said hello to all.

I think Richard's post sums it up perfectly for me he is far more eloquent than me.

Ok, I'd just like to say, that for my first Cougar Fest, that it was absolutely tops!!!! Loved every minute of it. Great to see faces that I had already met along with alot of new ones too. It was a scream and I haven't laughed like that in a long time. Mrs Hippy your a great sport for taking the "butt" of the jokes on the last day....and yes, many of us saw your dairy air!! lol

Got to give a huge shout out to Kully for inviting me up the night before, so as too cut my long journey into a short one. It was great to spend the evening with you, Becky, JJ and Kat...oh and not forgetting that ever faithful Snoops...thanks for keeping me company through the night (Kully you really need to get him some breath freshners!! LOL):LOL:

I loved the cruise to Grendon, was brill except for that twit in an Astra going way too fast and kept cutting into the convoy....Oh apologies, it was ofcourse Neil!! lol

I have only two critisms for thw whole weekend.......

1) Shower blocks (although I know they were a great improvement on last year...more hot water please!! lol

2) The weekend....well, it went too fast and didn't last long enough!! I was just getting relaxed into the weekend..and then it finished.

I will be posting up all the pic's and vid's just as soon as I can egt them loaded on Photobucket (my pc is very slow!!)

So, will I want to come to "Cougar Fest 2011".....You betcha bottom dollar I do!! Lets start organising it!!! LOL

Cheers All (y)

JJ, do you have to have an account set up to do this? Never loaded anything onto Youtube, so that will be interesting.... Will try my best mate.

We had no problem with the showers either, 3/4 power water to half way on the heat was fine.

Had a flashback to friday night when I nipped out earlier, Vonny doing the dying fly after a slightly aggressive tackle in an attempt to gain control of the beach ball!:LOL::LOL:
