New Ollerton
Nipped over to have a look at Thundercat today

She is in a very sorry state, pics below

She is for sale as a complete car if anybody is interested, I was interested until I saw her

If anybody has any questions please ask

He won`t commit to anything Ian but I think he would take £1500 for it, maybe less

If somebody can sort the bodywork without lashing out a few thousand it may well be worth it

Car has been stood for quite a while covered in salt, brakes are knackered, wheels are odd and it looks like the rear wheels have been rubbing the calipers

Despite the extensive mods I think £1500 is a bit steep considering the rear quarter damage. At the right price it would need a bit of work but would end up a stunning cat again. Someone with the time and money needs to rescue this one (y)

Personally if i had 1500 quid it would be worth it for parts, I would love the engine.. if it's what i have read that's still under the bonnet ?

i am so tempted at the moment. some of you know that im cougar s concept mad. will see what next month brings in, then i will probably give my answer.
This car deserves some RESPECT and if i get a hold of it, i will bring it back to its growling form in good time. oh buy the way, hows the engine in thundercat and mileage?

I get the impression you would get it for around a grand. The present owner has clearly and understandably given up the ghost and may cut his losses

I was thinking about this car and using the engine + box in my car but I could not live with 15 mpg. Looking at those pics, you are looking at around £1500 to repair the damage and respray the whole car + if the brakes are shot to bits then they would need doing as well.
So if you could get this car for £1000 then £2500 all in to have it back to its best is a very good price. If I had not done all the stuff to my car I would have had this car for sure. I am sure someone within this club will go for it.

The engine is still good by all accounts although the supercharger belt has been removed?

Brakes are proper corroded and will need replacing

Tax runs out end of this month, mot is invalid because it is a Cat C write off so I couldn`t drive it

Two of the original Kahn alloys are on the front but it has a pair of BK299`s (I think) on the rear which have been rubbing the calipers

The other two Kahns are buckled

The interior is still pretty much there although front seats are now cloth, rear leather is still there

Carbon fibre bits are still fitted but the passenger airbag carbon cover is cracked

It has been neglected from day one by the look of it (or as soon as the novelty wore off)

Bodywork has a lot of dings and dents and the vent that was knocked out appears undamaged and there is salt everywhere including inside the tailpipes

It is still a beautiful looking car but will need a lot of body prep, respray, new wheels, new brakes and the mechanicals are an unknown quantity

It would be great if somebody could save it but it will need very deep pockets to achieve anything approaching show standard

Well, just reading all this I think it would need even more money than I first said. So if he really is wanting £1500 there is no chance of that. I think you are going to need more like £3500 to get this back up to a quality standard. New wheels, brakes, seats, bodywork, that is one hell of a list.
Well good luck to who ever wants a massive challenge. I also think the lambo doors have been taken off as well but he does still have these.

Repair prices quoted above are probably accurate enough when talking bodyshp, but for DIY for somebody who has the equipment and knowhow your talking a few hundred at most. As for the mechanicals, that's already been mentioned as unknown so that's another matter.

Alan, this would need to go into a bodyshop looking at those pics. The car needs a full respray at the very least as it not a very nice colour TBH. Yes you are correct in saying anyone with the time, space and tools could get this back on the road for a few hundred quid, but this car deserves so much more. After all it is a mag featured car with lots of history. Shame really, if I had not got my car to where it is today I would have bought this car and brough it back to where it once was.
