Trip to Oxford to view possible FREE cougars

It all went well so far - the Zetec is on the back of the loader on its way up to Al's, and the V6 had been parked up in P with the handbrake off, so we didn't have the siezed brakes shenanegans to deal with. That one is due to be collected tomorrow, eventually to be subject to a good old dismantling session.

Hope everyone made/makes it home in one piece!

Just landed at Al's just got unload now :)

Another excellent day. As said V6 is rolling free so should easily go up on a trailer. The inhabitants of the village are....interesting....., but they seem happy the garden is being cleared.
We were going to have tea on site, but a bout of 'Blackpool Syndrome' (nobody brought a cup:LOL:) meant we feasted on donuts before retiring to the previously mentioned pub for lunch.
Mick joined us this time, lovely to see you again mate and your car is just stunning.

Haa! Thanks for that pretty shot (#6) of Tiger - I'm saving that one. Pic #1 showing the scabby (but Kurusted) arch, not so much.

Mick, your car is an absolute credit to you. As a standard car - fried eggs and all - it's immaculate. I don't think there's another set of C1 lights in the country that look that good!

I had a fantastic day with some good friends, and I look forward to us getting stuck in on the hard work of restoring the Zetec and stripping out the V6.

Though I would like to know what sort of dog was sleeping in that car. Long-haired GSD by the look of things.

Thats me home... 430mile journey on 3 and half hours sleep.
Fantastic day but will post more tomorrow. Goodnight!

You've been a hero and I'm sure that Al has been suitably appreciative. Go to bed. We'll see you tomorrow.

Oh, and when you get up again, please give me your Paypal email address. There's a little red Cougar here that needs paying for.

Back in the land of the living :)
Yesterday was a fantastic day... Honestly was, its a amazing what a difference it makes to spend it with great people.
The site is beyond words, apart from the locals who think they are driving tanks... there are cars everywhere you look, cars that should have been saved many moons ago

But the Zetec was loaded, delivered to Alan's (including many spiders and Snails) unloading Alan got her running and she reversed into the garage under her own steam which was amazing for a car that had been sat for that long! But it was hairy at times (not just the car:LOL:) but reversing with no brakes

I honestly can say, this is what the club is about... A group of people getting together because they want to make a difference and have a laugh along the way.
My Arty shot for the day

Yeah it did want to run mate, but it could possibly be out of fuel or whats in there could just be so old and horrible it won't run on it. Looking forward to getting it stripped down, loads of useful bits (y)

Great day out. I'm currently under the zetec sussing the underbelly and getting some brakes on but I'll come back later with more details and praise for a great team of guys to have around
